City Manager candidates will have demonstrated leadership in the successful administration of municipal operations with a strong emphasis on customer service, teamwork and cooperation. Candidates must possess well developed budget and financial management skills and experience with complex economic development and redevelopment. The successful candidate will have vision, resilience and will exhibit a collaborative, welcoming approach with elected officials, residents, the business community, and employees. The position requires seven to ten years of increasingly responsible senior management experience at least some of which is in the municipal sector and a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, finance or related field. An MPA or MBA is highly desirable. Experience in a college/university community is valued.
