Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday; will be required to work during emergencies.

Professional and administrative work to support the promotion of economic development resulting in benefits to Palm Beach County (PBC) residents. Directs benefits including diverse employment opportunities and an overall positive public and private sector economic environment. Provides a variety of tasks to successfully facilitate job growth in PBC businesses. Ensures that businesses receiving Federal, State and County assistance comply with all regulations and monitoring associated with funding conditions and assistance, including but are not limited to: tracking number of jobs created/retained, number of loans disbursed, ensuring proper collateral liens and valuations, return on (PBC) investment, working with Federal, State and County representatives, businesses, attorneys and consultants to complete application and loan packages. Creates and maintains loan repayment schedules and analyzes financial statements. Serves as a contact point and coordinator for specific entities serving a lead and supportive role in the County's Housing and Economic Sustainability Department, this includes pursuing supportive State, Federal and non-government funding in concert with the implementing entity. This position reports to Business and Economic Development Manager and is reviewed through periodic action update briefings.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration, Marketing, Economics, Urban/Regional Planning/Affairs, Architecture or related field; minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial analysis, auditing, grant writing/monitoring, marketing, economic revitalization, economic planning/technology park or university research alliances. Equivalency: Unrelated Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of related professional experience.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:Underwriting commercial loans, monitoring Federal and State loan/grant programs; collaborating and working with Federal and State agencies, local businesses and the general public; real estate transactions such as loan documents, appraisals, environmental assessments, and bank loan servicing (must specify on application).
