The City is seeking a new Utility Services Manager who is an energetic, dedicated manager and self-motivated leader who can maintain a collaborative and supportive work environment in the Utility Division. This position includes highly responsible and technical work to deliver high quality service to utility customers. Under general direction, the Utility Services Manager is responsible for managing key Utility Division functions, programs, and operations, including new service, system rehabilitation, reclaimed water, and contract services. The Utility Services Manager oversees water distribution and wastewater collection activities, ensuring compliance with all aspects of state and federal regulatory standards related to the distribution of drinking water and collection of wastewater, and assumes the role of the Utility Director as needed.
A high school diploma or GED, a minimum of eight years of experience in water and wastewater utilities, a TCEQ Class “C” Water Distribution license, and a Unit “II” Sewer Collection license are required. The selected candidate must upgrade to a Class “B” water license and Unit “III” Sewer Collection license within two years of the date of employment.
