Working under the supervision of the Executive Vice President of Springsted I Waters, the Senior Consultant will be responsible for working directly with multiple clients simultaneously to assist with the recruitment of various senior executive positions, ranging from City Managers, Police/Fire Chiefs, Directors of Public Works, School Superintendents and others in our defined market base.
Specific work responsibilities include negotiating client contracts, meeting on site with clients to prepare the candidate profile, recruitment brochure, and other documents for the recruitment, direct outreach to candidates, vetting the candidate pool to make recommendations to the client, and working with the client to design the final process for on-site interviews with those candidates selected as finalists.
In addition the Consultant will be expected to participate in marketing activities, attend conferences, speak at seminars, trade shows, service groups, and pursue new business development, in addition to the preparation of recruitment proposals and sales calls to current and prospective clients. The capacity to travel, including by air and/or automobile, and to work irregular hours is essential.
A Master’s Degree or equivalent in public or business administration, human resource management or related field is required, with a minimum of eight years of related work experience. A highly-competitive base salary and benefits with opportunities for incentive bonuses will be offered.
