SPRINGSTED INCORPORATED IS SEEKING SENIOR COMPENSATION CONSULTANTS
Springsted Incorporated, one of the largest and most established public sector advisory firms in the United States, is expanding its compensation practice with immediate openings for Senior Compensation Consultants. Strong preference will be given to locating the chosen candidates in Springsted’s Saint Paul, Minnesota, Dallas, Texas or Richmond, Virginia offices.
Working under the supervision of Springsted’s Executive Vice President, in charge of Classification and Compensation Services, the Senior Compensation Consultants will operate in a lead consultancy position where he or she will apply specific, specialized research skills to understand financial performance, statistical trends, and benefits/pay practices and policies for particular clients and within the broader marketplace. Other duties include: developing and delivering presentations to staff and elected/appointed officials; conducting compensation surveys and analyzing results; leveraging Springsted’s proprietary point factor job evaluation system - Systematic Analysis and Factor Evaluation (SAFE®), to analyze and rank a variety of public sector jobs. The consultant will also write proposals; attend/speak at relevant business development and professional association events; and mentor analytical, project management and support staff.
A Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration, political science, human resource management or related field is required. An MBA, MPA or a Master’s Degree in related filed is preferred. At least six years of proven total compensation related work experience required, with a strong preference for a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or significant course work towards a CCP. Candidates should have a working knowledge of statistics and human resources, and must have advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
