The City is seeking a creative, visionary leader with strong communication skills, a customer service focus, and a passion for public service to be its next Assistant City Manager. The successful candidate must be a professional with outstanding judgment, management skills, and integrity. Capital budgeting and contract management experience is required, as well as experience in high-growth development areas, including broad experience in planning/zoning, engineering, public works, or a related field. The chosen candidate must have experience in the implementation of development and strategic planning, policy and decision making, and the organization of multiple programs, projects, operations, and functions.
The selected candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field from an accredited university. A master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government administration is required, with five years working at a department head level or above.
