Under direction of Development Services Director, the person will be responsible for professional, technical, managerial, and administrative work of the Code Enforcement Department.
A degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Business Administration preferred. At least 5 years in managing building and code enforcement functions. Have or be eligible to obtain building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical certifications designated by the State of Tennessee. Prefer Certification as a Certified Building Official from the ICC. Experience in plan reviews. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Prefer experience with Blue Prints and EnerGov software.
