The Development Services Department assist homeowners, business owners, and contractors when they build, demolish, remodel or perform any type of construction to ensure compliance with applicable city and building codes.
The Accounting Manager I will be responsible for developing and managing Dgeneral accounting activities and staff; preparing and reviewing financial and accounting documents, reports, and statements to ensure all transactions are recorded promptly and properly; managing year-end close and annual audits. This position will also be responsible for developing and managing DSD’s accounting, purchasing, accounts payable, contract monitoring, petty cash, travel, and account reconciliation activities.

Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to Accounting twenty-four (24) hours in accounting, plus five (5) years of accounting experience which includes one (1) year of lead/supervisory experience.
A Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration may substitute for one (1) year of the accounting experience.
A CPA may substitute for the education requirement.
