As the Division Administrator of Human Resources, you will provide leadership, vision and direction to the Human Resources team which is comprised of the following program areas: Operations, Work Force Development, Employee Relations, HRIS and Talent Acquisition. You will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner in the development and execution of a comprehensive human resources strategy that will equip our diverse workforce with the tools and resources they need for success and support of VDOT’s mission.
You will operate in a highly visible role requiring regular interaction with executive leadership to discuss HR strategies/initiatives and review organizational effectiveness and design, ensuring alignment of processes, people and systems. You will have the opportunity to cultivate broad networks inside and outside the agency to align strategies and share solutions to workforce needs and challenges.

Compensation & Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $111,150 - $160,000.
This position is expected to work both remotely and in office as driven by business needs. Ability to work remotely is required.

Qualified candidates will have experience applying business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, performance management, workforce and succession planning, employee development and leadership and HR data analytics. Additionally, experience establishing quality and service standards for customer needs and measuring performance and overall customer satisfaction is required. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate extensive leadership experience in a wide range of HR activities for large and diverse organizations. Preference will be given to those applicants possessing extensive experience in Human Resources functions to include talent acquisition; compensation, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organizational development, HRIM and data analytics, a master’s degree in human resources, public administration or business-related field and who possess professional certifications.
