Colorado’s Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) is hiring Federal Funds Budget and Policy Analysts!
Federal Funds Budget and Policy Analysts will play a fundamental role within Colorado’s planning and implementation of stimulus funding and investments to support Colorado. They will support one of OSPB’s three Deputy Directors and their team’s management of federal funds, including American Rescue Plan Act funding. This support includes identifying and advancing creative, cost-effective, evidence-based solutions to public policy problems and providing rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses of the major issues facing our state and communicating results and recommendations to policymakers. OSPB analysts are expected and trained to become leading experts on the issues and departments within their team’s portfolios. The position will also directly support their assigned Deputy Director with special projects, requests for analysis, team coordination, and other specific needs as identified by their Deputy.
Position is a 2-year term-limited position based upon federal funding source, with the possibility of extension dependent upon funding.
