Pearland has been among the top five fastest-growing cities in Texas, and among the top 10 fastest-growing cities in the country, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The growth trajectory will continue, albeit at a slower pace, thanks to an advantageous location adjacent to the country’s fourth-largest city, Houston, a dynamic and diverse economic dynamo on the Gulf Coast, part of the ‘Texas Triangle.’ It’s location, economy, good planning, and leadership makes Pearland a suburban force currently with even more significant upside potential.

The department provides 24-hour service and responds to more than 10,000 calls for service per year. The Department serves an area of over 75 square miles with a population of more than 130,000, including the ETJ.
