This position will assist the City Attorney in providing legal services to the City and will represent the City in all aspects of municipal prosecution, administrative hearings, enforcement of local, state and federal laws, and other general legal matters involving the City.
Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law in Texas, and be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Knowledge of Federal and Texas Codes of Civil and Criminal Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and Texas Municipal Law. Minimum of three years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney with experience in civil litigation or criminal prosecution required, and experience working in a municipal law office setting or representing government entities preferred. Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
