Performs a variety of complex duties in the process of planning, organizes and manages the city-wide records management, document imaging programs and information services; trains department staff and other departments in the use of imagining software and equipment; directs and supervises records and imaging activities of City Clerk’s staff; directs the daily operations of the City’s records storage; and provides varied, complex and often confidential administrative assistance to the City Clerk, and the Deputy City Clerk.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in history, business or public administration or a related field
And
Four (4) years experience records management/archives experience including experience in inventory records and managing off-site records storage facilities
Municipal experience preferred
And
One (1) year Lead or Supervisory Experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid California Driver's License or other means that would allow for the ability to commute to meetings, conduct site visits, and attend other special events throughout the county may be required at the time of hire
Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Certified Information Professional (CIP) certifications preferred
Certification as a Notary Public by the State of California is required within one (1) year from hire
