The City of Yakima Finance Department is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to provide leadership and oversight of current and long-range municipal purchasing/procurement programs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Associates degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the public sector with an emphasis on procurement and contract development to include two (2) years lead or supervisory experience. Certified Professional Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) upon hire is preferred. Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business, finance or closely related field from an accredited college or university is preferred and could substitute for two (2) years general experience.
