The Town, acting through its seven-member Town Council, is authorized by law to appoint a Town Manager. The Town Manager serves at the pleasure of Council, serving as the chief executive to the Council and Town Administration. This is an administrative position that manages the day-to-day operation of the Town of Dumfries, Virginia. The Town Manager shall have general supervision of the affairs of the Town, be the administrative head of all departments of the town government and be responsible for the efficient administration of the Town.
