The Position The City of Fairfax is seeking a strategic City Manager to lead a high-performing team that works to implement Council goals and community priorities. The City has a long history of stable and effective city management and sound financial management and has well-educated and engaged residents. The current City Manager is retiring in early spring after 42 years of local government service with five Virginia communities. Directing the day-to-day operations of the City, the City Manager provides leadership and supervision to departments and oversees and evaluates the effectiveness of City operations.
