The 13th largest California city by population, Irvine is in the process of withdrawing from the County library system and developing a locally operated and world-class municipal library system. The City Librarian will work closely with the City Manager and Director of Community Services to lead the transition planning and implementation process and oversee the libraries when opened as city-run facilities.
