Under the general direction of the Board of Trustees, the General Manager assumes full responsibility for the operation & management of the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID). The General Manager is responsible for the implementation & efficient execution of District policies, procedures, resolutions & ordinances, as well as the oversight of the performance of IVGID’s fifty plus million dollar annual budget.
Requirements: Related Bachelor’s degree (Public Admin, Business, Finance, Acctg, Eng) w/a Master’s degree (Public or Bus. Admin) strongly preferred. Ten (10) years related, increasingly responsible mgmt. in a customer svc. driven & multi-functional environment. Exp. within a municipal, governmental, community-based org. managing hospitality related divisions, & recreational svc environment is helpful, though exp. in a senior leadership role within the private sector will also be considered. Successful mgmt. of disparate disciplines (finance, eng, ops, admin, rec, food/bev & mktg) within a municipal, governmental, community-based org. or rec. service environment helpful. Executive leadership of hospitality related businesses (weddings/events, catering, food/bev) is preferred but not required. Experience reporting to a publicly elected Board & providing public services subject to public scrutiny is preferred, but not required.
